Name: Dan Cave

Year of birth: 1972.. (may 1st if u want to send me a card ;) )

Main cycling activities (TT, Road, some mtb'ing if I can be bothered, doing Charity rides/sportives)

Hobbies outside of cycling ( Cooking, Listening to music, IT- tis my job, driving my Ferrari 350- i wish, spending time with family.. ) Walking the dogs.

Best cycling moment: Completing a 100ml charity ride a few years ago after a nine year lay-off, loosing nearly two stone...

Worst cycling moment : getting cramp about 8 times on the above ride..  Getting caught for 5 minutes by a certain T.Icke on the EDCA 6am 25ml.. Felk like poop in that wind, doing 15mph and he flies past me like it was a calm day on the ski slope 10.. (I felt like Ulrich when Lance went past him) Still, you have to admire someone like that, I do..

Favorite food: Bananas, Chinese food, Chicken Kebab and Salad (from Wimborne Kebab shop, Quality!!) Dorset Cereals muesli & Porridges.  Chocolate, but only in small quantities.

Best excuse for poor performance: Missus made me do the gardening the day before, kids kept me up part of the night due to being ill, had no breakfast, or... Just didn't feel good.. Sometimes your body can't cash the cheques you write out!!  We're all Human!

Favorite music: Most stuff, 80's, 90's, Blues, Clapton, Ry Cooder, Hendrix, electro pop, whatever's on iTunes...

Training tip: Stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, listen to your body. Its all about quality, not quantity.. Be realistic about your goals..

Carbon or Titanium?         Carbon, it just feels like you're riding a magic carpet, although Ti is quite nice...

Turbo or Road? Turbo for specific sessions if the weather is bad or i'm recovering.. Road for doing quality miles..

What have we missed? Family, my two lovely kids.. Mrs C for letting me buy bike p0rn, and being so understanding when I'm out for longer training when I say I'll only be a couple of hours..

Pets: Our two lurchers, Paddy and Murphy (yes, they really are called that), both great characters.

obsessions: Making sure I can afford the best kit/bike stuff I can, and my bikes are setup right..   Training Smartly...
